Abstract:

Ihe probtem of knitting fabrics of specifi-c GSlll and width ordered by buyer always has been a great fabric challenge for nranufacturers. lmplementation of statistical technique can be a solution flr this problem. This study has demonstrated strong linear relationships between different quality parameters like Machine gauge, Stitch length, Yarn count and fabric GSM of knitted fabric using correlation ani multiple regression analysis. For example, from 10 observations of Machine gauge, stitch tength, Yarn count and fabric cSv, uf doing regression analysis, the value of R square was found 0'9821178 which means approximately g8.2g./o of the variation in the GSM values can be explained by using the mentioned explanatory variables. Aiso this study has derived .o111. ,.g".rrion equations among GSM, count, stitch lcngth, machine gauge and develop equation ".ong fabric width, count and stitch length for each specific machine diameter and gauge
